It's Pat

Movie Summary: Pat Riley, an obnoxious busybody of indeterminable sex, meets and falls in love with Chris, a sensitive, caring person also of indeterminable sex. Their relationship suffers because Pat’s a lout, and cannot decide on a direction for their life. Meanwhile, Pat’s neighbor Kyle falls further and further into obsession with Pat, fascinated by their indeterminate sexuality.

Queer Film LA Says: Julia Sweeney's "Pat" character--whose indeterminate gender is the setup for endless confusion--gets a feature film. Sweeney then played herself in the Showtime series "Work in Progress" from Abby McEnany and Lilly Wachowski, confronted by characters who grew up in Pat's cultural shadow.
