In the docklands of East London stands the Empire State, a nightclub full of magic and mystery. Designed like an ocean liner, it’s become a battle ground where anything can happen. In the midst of the action, a young boy stows aboard to search for his friend who has disappeared in the entrails of the club.

This film is presented in English with English subtitles.

Ron Peck's next feature after his ground breaking Nighthawks is sort of a gay Long Good Friday featuring a motley crew of American gangsters as S&M and London hustlers. Jimmy Somerville and the Communards set the pace on the soundtrack for this big splashy take-off on Martin Scorsese territory that is governed by an unmistakably ga point of view.

After the phenomenal successes of Drugstore Cowboy and My Own Private Idaho, director Gus Van Sant's stunning first feature is strangely still not available on cassette. In response to numerous requests we are happy to present a mini Van Sant retro by adding two shorts - Gus Van Sant's Diary and Thanksgiving Prayer to this encore showing of Mala Noche.

Mala Noche is the film debut from director Gus Van Sant. The film portrays the unanswered love of an American man toward a young Mexican man.

The Changer emotionally recalls the birth of women's music with still and clips from the 70s and 80s and recent footage of a 1990 Williamson concert in Berkeley. Featuring performances by k.d.lang, Patsy Cline, The Well Oiled Sister and The Stetson Sisters, Stand On Your Man looks at the new queer preoccupation with country western music and style.

Documentary about the making of The Changer and The Changed, an album recorded by Cris Williamson in 1975 that became one of the icons of women’s music.
