CONTENT WARNING:
The story of the late J. Edgar Hoover, who was head of the FBI from 1924-1972. The film follows Hoover from his racket-busting days through his reign under eight U.S. presidents.
This film is presented in English with English subtitles.
An unreliable but hilarious exposé with a nearly fall-down-drunk Mr. Highway Patrol Broderick (Broderick Crawford) as the famed FBI leader. If you thought JFK and the Oliver Stone syndrome was fun, then you will love retro-contextualizing Hoover’s alleged homosexuality. All-star cast includes Jose Ferrer, Dan Dailey, Rip Torn, Celeste Holm.
