It’s Giving Tuesday, and you will undoubtedly get several messages today from nonprofits asking you to support their missions and help them carry out their vital work with much needed donations. This is our case for why Wicked Queer is also deserving of your donation today.
Wicked Queer builds community, maintains safe spaces, and celebrates Queer storytelling and filmmaking by uplifting voices and stories not yet heard. With our annual festival and screenings throughout the year, we also present and preserve the vibrancy of our histories.

You can double your impact if your employer provides matching gifts to employee donations. If your company uses Benevity, YourCause, American Online Giving, or NPOconnect platforms for employee giving, you can search for "Queer Film Institute" in your company portal and donate with an instant match. If your company has another program for matching gifts, you will receive an email receipt after your donation that you can submit to your program to request your match.
All the money that you generously donate goes to making our film festival happen. It helps us pay filmmakers for their work and makes sure their stories are reaching you. Representation is important and vital to change opinions of who we are as a community.
Wicked Queer strives to share stories and histories that illuminate all the beautiful lives and colors of our community's rainbow. We know that If we leave it to the general media, our stories and diversity will be lost to the sands of time and pushed into the shadowy corners of an already crowded content feed.
