Wicked Queer Is Back VIRTUALLY For Its 36th Year 😍
Wicked Queer 2020: Virtually Yours
As you know, we had to postpone our 36th Boston LGBTQ+ Film Festival due to COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of our community, staff, and filmmakers. It was a hard decision for our team after working for 9 months to create a diverse and powerful program for 2020.
Since then, the Wicked Queer team has been discussing and researching how we could continue to bring you the best in queer cinema while maintaining the safety of our community. It does not seem likely that we can host an in-person festival any time soon, so we have decided to hold this year's festival online so that these queer stories can be shared.
We are excited to announce that Wicked Queer's 36th Annual Boston LGBTQ+ Film Festival will be back between July 24 - August 2 2020 virtually through an online platform XERB.TV!
You can visit our website or Xerb.tv channel to see the full line-up and buy your tickets!
How to attend our virtual film festival:
- Sign up or log in to Xerb.tv through the Wicked Queer Film Festival page - bit.ly/WQ-2020.
- Look through our program to choose one or MORE screenings that you are interested in.
- Once you have made your selections, you can purchase tickets by clicking the yellow “Register” button and following the steps to finalize your purchase.
- You will have a fixed 24-hour window to finish viewing your program beginning at the program start time. For example, if you buy a ticket for a program that starts on July 24, 2020, at 7 pm, you will have until July 25, 2020, at 7 pm to watch.
- Get your popcorn (or snacks), get comfy, put your phone on silent and start watching! Be sure to leave enough time to finish watching the program before the viewing window ends.
- Join us after each program for a Q&A, leave a comment on the program page, and vote for your favorites!
NOW WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER!
We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and every dollar we raise and make goes into booking venues, films, and paying LGBTQ+ filmmakers.
